The Saints managed only 11 rushing yds and threw 4 interceptions in a
pathetic loss to the Ravens.


In the game, the Saints made only eight 1st downs, and broached the
Baltimore 30 only twice- early in the fourth quarter, a 57 yd Lawrence
Dawsey catch was immediately followed by a 20 yd Keith Poole TD reception
(and a 2-point catch by Cam Cleeland); with 11 seconds left the team ran
out of downs at the Raven 18.

Baltimore's offense wasn't exactly on fire (in 10 of their 17 possessions,
they failed to gain a 1st down), but it got the job done.  The home team
opened the scoring with a 36 yd FG set up by Rod Woodson's return of a
Billy Joe Tolliver interception to the NO 27.  In the Ravens' next drive,
Banks hit the guy Ricky Williams used to block for with a 34 yd TD throw.
Shortly before halftime, Armour caught a 6 yd TD toss.

On the second play of the fourth quarter, Qadry Ismail (who caught zero
passes for the Saints last season) took in a 47 yd TD throw to make it
24-0 Ravens.  They closed out the scoring by returning a Danny Wuerffel
INT 24 yds for a score.
