T-SHIRT TUESDAY #15 (originally posted on 04/11/17)

Frank Conniff's book "Twenty Five Mystery Science Theater 3000 Films That Changed My Life In No Way Whatsoever" was the inspiration for the weekly T-SHIRT TUESDAY feature you're currently reading, and MST3k was my favorite TV show of the early 1990s. Because my cable provider didn't offer the Sci-Fi channel at the time, I missed out on a fair number of episodes from seasons 8-10; I enlisted my Grandma (who had Sci-Fi) to circulate me some tapes, but her VCR skills were nonideal.

On Friday, MST3k returns via Netflix with new episodes and a new distribution model, which means that anyone with a subscription can catch the show on-demand. I canceled my Netflix last year, but now I may have to come crawling back and embrace the tidal wave of OTT (bleh). Note the prescience of "TV's Son Of TV's Frank" Patton Oswalt, as he championed viewer control of MST3k scheduling decades ago.
