After growing up with the lousy Saints squads of the late '70s and early '80s, I became a fanatical season ticket holder when the team found success under coach Jim Mora. I then doubled down on my Saints obsession by producing SAINTERNET, a one-man blog / TV show that consumed a big chunk of my twenties. Unfortunately, Mora and Mike Ditka failed to notch a winning record during any of the seven seasons covered by SAINTERNET.
Identifying a need to get free of my black and gold fixation, I weaned myself off the team during the Jim Haslett years. I've watched only a handful of games during Sean Payton's tenure as coach.
