Last decade, Mother Egan's pub quiz was my gateway to the Austin trivia scene; I enjoyed matching wits with the biggest brains in town. I wasn't able to take full advantage of my successes, though: I neglected to redeem a couple hundred dollars of bar tab winnings before Mother Egan's closed (at the time, I'd yet to begin drinking alcohol, and there's only so much fish & chips a guy can eat).
Concomitant with my present-day participation in Geeks Who Drink quizzes, I'm no longer a teetotaler, but I still rack up more Bonus Question free beers than I can consume.
