As everybody knows, the bylaws of T-SHIRT TUESDAY allow for a single entry involving a garment other than a T-shirt. This clause has now been exercised, to present the jacket awarded to a member of the 1982 city-champion Kenilworth Playground 12 year-olds baseball team (me). My jacket comes with an asterisk, as I missed the entire postseason due to a family vacation. Though I was the starting left fielder, I was mostly good for drawing walks and stealing bases; not much else.
My baseball glory has been completely eclipsed by the *national* tournament won at Cooperstown last week by the 12 year-olds of Carrollton Playground, featuring my cousin Jeff as an assistant coach and his son Jace as the starting center fielder. Well done!
