Pistol Pete Maravich was my basketball hero. I was a big fan of the New Orleans Jazz, though they never made the playoffs.
Shortly after the team broke my heart by moving to Utah, Pistol Pete was traded to Boston, so I became a Celtics fan, and remain one to this day.
