In the '90s I was entranced by the silly genius of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Cartoon Network ramped up the fun by expanding the SGC2C spirit into Adult Swim, which launched stealthily in late 2000 with no advance promotion (I still remember the thrill of stumbling upon Sealab 2021 in the middle of the night while channel surfing).
I've happily devoured almost every series aired on Adult Swim; the programming block has become a media phenomenon. In addition to its announced series, Adult Swim still sneaks in bizarrely-hilarious content in the wee hours, from the brilliant Too Many Cooks to the latest offering airing all this week at 3:00am: The Suplex Duplex Complex, co-produced by Texas Student TV alum Kelly Williams.
